Hospital Playground for Children – Healing Through Play

The design draws inspiration from themes of freedom, lightness, and imagination.

Soft wall murals of balloons, butterflies, and open skies create a feeling of movement and optimism,

bringing a sense of openness even within an enclosed hospital courtyard.

At the centre stands a large hot-air balloon tower with slides, serving as a joyful and uplifting focal point.

Around it are nest swings, a carousel, balancing and spring elements,

and outdoor musical instruments that invite children to explore sound, rhythm, and creativity.

As evening falls, the main wall glows softly with a radiant message of love – *I ❤️ RL* –

an expression of gratitude and appreciation to all who made it possible.

Every design decision aimed to introduce light, warmth, and hope –

transforming the hospital environment into a world where children can play, laugh, and dream

From the earliest planning stages, the focus was on creating a space that radiates empathy, serenity, and genuine joy.

The project called for a design suitable for children in a wide range of physical and emotional conditions –

patients in treatment, those in recovery, and siblings who accompany their loved ones.

A place for everyone – to play, to rest, or simply to be together.

This vision led to a design built on harmony between colour, sound, and movement –

a playground that tells a story of support, togetherness, and the healing power of play

The project was guided from concept to completion through close collaboration with the hospital.

From the start, it was clear that this was not just a design task –

but a mission to create an environment of comfort, beauty, and emotional balance.

The design and engineering teams combined creativity, precision, and sensitivity,

ensuring that every element met the highest standards of safety, durability, and accessibility,

while maintaining the essence that makes this space truly unique – a heart open to healing.
